I am looking into this career field and i dont want to do a 9 month program that cost like $10,000!! i found a couple of school locally, one is every saturday for 10 weeks and the other is every day for 2 weeks they are both about $2500 and I am just wondering if anybody out there has done anything like this, if its legitimate and if you have found a job……thanks!!
I have heard a lot of good things about Texas School of Business. They also have financial aid available.http://www.tsb.edu/tsbPortal/
I am pretty sure the ones that Cooking pancakes referred you to are Grad programs for people wanting to become Dentist.
Contact Texas Workforce Commission and see if Houston has a program called W I A. This is the Workforce Investment Act and will pay for your training at a college or trade school up to $5800 . But this program is on a first come first served basis. Once the funding runs out, you’ll have to wait till next year. Contact your nearest office of Texas Workforce and see if they have this program and when can you come to their seminar.
You are very smart to research this. And NO you definitely don’t want to be paying $10,0000.00 for nine months of training.
Here’s a link for all of the dental colleges in the Houston area. Contact each one, links provided to get their recommendations.http://www.tamuk.edu/biology/PHP/schools…
They might put you in contact with dentists that will provide on the job training.
Good luck!
